2019 – ongoing
The experience of motherhood brought significant and obvious changes, as well as moments of creativity and reflection. Changes to daily mobility happening overnight. Walking as a mother, revealed how the city adds to the burden faced by pedestrians, particularly those on the margins.
The transition from being carried to moving indepedently has brought several reflections about the experience of navigating public space and the changing relations different roles bring about.
Walks are captured through photographs of playful interactions with public space and mixed media artworks co-created together. Walks in different environments, books and bed-time stories have became creative tools that inspire to co-create mixed media collages. Collages that form a wordless book evoking new stories and fueling creativity in an ongoing collaborative work with no predefined path.
